Inscriptions:
"274" in pencil on bottom; the lot number from the second Charles Green sale in 1955. "55-142-G2" in ink on bottom, collectors' accession number, indicating that it was purchased at the second Green sale in 1955.

Marks:
"Ribbon" mark in low relief on bottom; "U.S.P." in upper section, "No. 10" at right (indicating Paul and Virginia pattern line) and "14." in lower loop--probably a size indicator.

Provenance: Purchased by Grace and Robert Jacobs in 1955 at the second Dr. Charles Green sale, NYC.
